LED street lighting of Yas Marina

The new LED street lighting of Yas Marina was carried out with ITALO, one of the most popular AEC products for street lighting. Yas Marina, in the United Arab Emirates, is home to the racing circuit that hosted the second Middle East Formula 1 Grand Prix in 2015. ITALO was chosen for the redevelopment of the entire area that stands on the artificial island of Yas Island and which winds through theme parks, ultra-luxury hotels and residential areas.

The objectives of the intervention

Ensuring a more attractive and safe area thanks to solutions with high visual comfort were the main goals of the project. Yas Marina is the destination of numerous tourists and F1 enthusiasts every year and ensuring maximum usability of the road and pedestrian areas with cost containment has had the highest priority.

Keeping the flow of traffic constant and ensuring the regular circulation of public transport was one of the main benefits guaranteed by the intervention, which ensures greater safety for travellers to the island.
