AEC boasts both a test laboratory, where all the tests required by the standards in force are carried out, and two photometric laboratories, where a staff of professionals performs certified photometric and radiometric measurements by providing the customer with all the information needed to qualitatively characterize the lighting project.
AEC laboratories are supervised by a third party at DEKRA.

The AEC test laboratory is certified by UL according to the WMT procedures for the release of the ENEC mark in compliance with the following reference standards :
IEC 60598-1: lighting fittings.
IEC 60598-2-3: street lighting fittings.
IEC 60598-2-5: projectors.
IEC 62031: LED modules.
The laboratory is also certified by UL according to the WTDP programme for the release of the UL mark in compliance with the following reference standards :
UL1598: lighting fittings.
CSA C22.2 No. 250.0-08: lighting fittings.
UL8750: LED modules.
CSA C22.2 No. 250.13-12: LED modules.
In the laboratory AEC staff carries out electromagnetic compatibility tests according to:
IEC 61547: immunity from caused disturbances.
IEC 61000-3-2: harmonics.
IEC 61000-3-3: flicker.
The AEC safety test laboratory is also recognised by the American market.
